The G-Man is a part of the Executive Board of Directors at the Ultor Corporation and is Gordon Freeman's boss. He is the main protagonist of Glitch Row.

Original Universe[]
The G-Man worked at the Ultor Corporation on the board of directors, and studied Xenian and Race X lifeforms in the Pyramid facility. He forced the Hazmat aliens into slave labour to repurpose the alien technology for Ultor's use. When an insanity virus broke out in the city of Stilwater, G-Man brought Gordon Freeman out of stasis and sent him to wipe out the worst infected in order to contain the situation.
The G-Man tricked Princess Johnny into making a deal with him by posing as God. Johnny requested to bring back the earth and undo the Zin invasion, which G-Man accepted. The Zin invasion was undone, but involved wiping out the history of the Saints, leaving only Johnny as the one who would remember. The G-Man captured Princess Johnny and placed him into stasis, intending to bring him out when he was further needed.
New Universe[]
The G-Man, through unknown means, became trapped in another universe and lost his abilities. Operating under the name of Blackstone, he moved to Santo Ileso and got work at Marshall Defense Industries as a mercenary. There he befriended a group of young aspiring gang members, and following Blackstone's sacking he assembled the team into his own crew in order to takeover the city.
